Plum Shaped Water Dropper Pot

The design of this water dropper is inspired by the National Palace Museum, Taipei's collection of Yun Shouping paintings. Born to a poor intellectual family and an ardent loyalist to the fallen Ming dynasty, Yun refused to seek public office under the Manchu-ruled government of the Qing dynasty. Instead, he earned his livelihood as a painter, calligrapher and poet. The Asian Art Museum holds a selection of Yun Shouping’s works.
