Eskimeït — founded by two interior designers, one French, one Japanese — produces jewelry and decorative objects using Japanese wood charcoal, known as binchotan. Each piece of binchotan is unique, with its own shape, bark and tree ring patterns, and imperfections, which results in one-of-a-kind jewelry. Each Eskimeït piece is designed and individually crafted in the company's Paris workshop using innovative techniques that the designers developed to work this unusual material and turn it into art. Eskimeït only uses certified, environmentally friendly charcoal from Kishu.
