Yumé Boshi is a small food producer located in Oakland, California that makes Japanese preserves in small batches, using traditional artisanal methods and local produce from California.

This unique jam retains the natural tartness of ume plum, but the overall flavor profile has a more caramelized, delicate taste, and the naturally cultured probiotics promote good gut health.

It is naturally cultured through their award-winning Ume Plum Syrup’s raw maturation process, where they add organic sugar to a batch of ume plums and let the mixture rest for about three months. The juice is then strained and made into their syrup, while the remaining pulp is mixed into a smooth, palatable and velvety texture.

Use it on toast, with yogurt or ice cream, paired with a soft cheese like brie or camembert, or to add a bit of zest to your original sauces and dressings.
