From Durga to Sabitri to Bela to Tara, the story shows us how their lives are intertwined across continents and how every decision taken by an earlier generation impacts the futures and fortunes of the next.

The family saga unfolds from the mid-twentieth century to 2020, told through a collage of three women’s viewpoints-- but also from a few of the men who intersect their lives.
